Specifications on Callaway X 12 Irons

Callaway is a golf product company that started out in the 1980s after owner Ely Callaway sold his winery and vineyard. The company sells golf clubs, balls and bags. The Big Bertha X-12 series is among Callaway's original creations. The X-12 series is a group of irons that was first released in 1998. The set includes one through nine irons and four wedges.

    • The one iron has a loft of 16 degrees, while the two iron's loft is 18.5 degrees. The three iron loft is 21 degrees and the four iron loft is 23.5 degrees. Loft is 26 degrees for the five iron and 29 degrees for the six iron. Seven iron loft is 33 degrees and eight iron loft is 37.5 degrees. Nine iron loft is 42 degrees and pitching wedge loft is 46.5 degrees. The sand wedge loft is 55 degrees. The A Wedge has a loft of 51 degrees and the L wedge has loft of 60 degrees.

    • The one iron has a lie of 58.5 degrees and the two iron has a 59.2 degree lie. The three iron lie is 59.9 degrees and the four iron lie is 60.6 degrees. Lie is 61.3 degrees for the five iron and 62 degrees for the six iron. The seven iron has a lie of 62.5 degrees and the eight iron has a lie of 63.5 degrees. Lie is 64.5 degrees for the nine iron and 65 degrees for all the wedges.

    Length

    • All of the wedges are 35.5 inches long. The nine iron is 36 inches long and the eight iron is 36.5 inches long. The seven iron measures 37 inches long and the six iron is 37.5 inches long. The five iron is 38 inches long, while the four iron is 38.5 inches long. The three iron is 39 inches long and the two iron is 39.5 inches long. The one iron is 40 inches long.

    • All of the X-12 irons are available for right and left handed golfers. The clubs are available with firm, light, regular and strong flex shafts. The bounce rating is zero degrees for all of the clubs in the set.
