How to Qualify for the Buick Open

The Buick Open occurs annually in the state of Michigan. A golfer can qualify for this PGA event in the same fashion as he would for any PGA tour open event. The requirements for qualifying for an open PGA event can only be met by a select few each year. Broadly speaking, you need to be a supremely talented golfer to qualify for the Buick Open. Nonetheless, you can give it a shot every year if you meet the requirements.

      Meet the PGA requirements. You must be either a professional or amateur golfer registered with the USGA and a documented handicap of 2 or better.

      Register for the qualifying round for the Buick Open. The round will be held the Monday preceding the event.

      Earn your entry to the Buick Open. If you finish in the top 4 of the qualifying round, you will gain entry to the event.
