Go to the ignition switch on the front panel of the golf cart and make sure that it's turned to the "On" position. If the ignition is turned to the "Neutral" position, the golf cart will not start.

    • 2

Open the center seat and check the battery for loose terminals. Use a pair of channel locks to tighten the terminals to the battery.

    • 3

Use a mixture of warm water and half a cup of baking soda to clean the battery terminals if there is any corrosion on the terminals.

    • 4

Check the tires for underinflation. Use an air compressor to fill the tires to the specified psi (pounds per square inch). This number will be on the tire.

Check the spark plugs on your golf cart if the unit is gas powered. Open the hood and remove the spark plugs. Test them with a spark plug tester. Replace the spark plugs if needed.
