1
Establish the rotating order before you tee off on the first hole. Draw numbers or spin a tee to determine the order each player will hit. It is important to stick to this rotation throughout the game because on each hole, the first player to hit his tee shot is the "wolf."
-
2
Tee off on the first hole if you are the wolf.
-
3
Allow the remaining golfers to hit their tee shot. Before each player tees off, the wolf must decide if he wants to play individually as the "lone wolf" or choose a partner to play with him. If you are the wolf, you can choose a partner after a player hits her tee shot. However, if you have picked a partner, you can't change your pick if one of the remaining players hits a better drive.
-
4
Ensure everyone hits his tee shot once the wolf has decided to play alone or with a partner.
-
5
Calculate the scores on the hole. If the wolf plays alone as the "lone wolf," his objective is to shoot a lower net score than each of the other three players. If the wolf chooses to play with a partner, you play the hole in best ball format, which means the best net score from each team wins the hole. If the wolf and his partner win the hole, each person gets two points. If the other two partners win the hole, they each get three points. If the wolf plays as the "lone wolf" and beats all three players, he receives four points. Lastly, if the wolf plays as the "lone wolf" and loses the hole to any of the three players, all three players get one point.
-
6
Switch roles so the second person in the rotation is now the wolf, and repeat the game. Continue to switch roles on each successive hole.
