1
Hold your heat gun in your dominant hand. Lightly rest your finger on the trigger.
-
2
Grab your stick blade by the heel of the blade with your other hand.
-
3
Pull the trigger on the glue gun and direct the hot air that comes out of the heat gun toward the neck of the blade. The neck of the blade is the portion of the blade that inserts into the stick shaft. Keep the heat gun about six inches from the blade.
-
4
Keep applying heat to the glue that is dried to the neck of every stick blade until the glue becomes fluid. When the glue begins to bubble, it is time to insert the blade into the shaft.
-
5
Insert the stick blade into the bottom of the shaft. Make sure that you insert the stick blade into the shaft as far as it will go, usually about three to four inches.
-
6
Let the glue dry so that the stick blade becomes firmly attached to the stick shaft. If any excess glue runs down the blade or shaft wipe it with a paper towel or cloth.
