Jodhpurs are a pair of stretch pants that people who ride horses wear. Here are a few tips on how to wear them at your next equestrian event.

      Select the correct size jodhpurs. Like regular pants, jodhpurs come in sizes for men, women and children. Take a waist measurement or check out your pants to see what your size is in pants. Also, if you usually buy "long" or "short" pants or suits then you will want do the same with jodhpurs. Ask the representative who works at the equestrian store for help with sizing as manufacturers tend to vary.

      Wear equestrian underwear as your undergarment. These are a tight fitting stretchy material, which will offer support and protection and rest below your jodhpurs.

      Put your jodhpurs on one leg at a time. This is where it becomes like wearing spandex pants. Just place one leg in at a time and pull up. On the other hand, if you are really adventurous, jump in with both feet.

      Attach your jodhpurs to your riding boots. There are all different kinds of jodhpurs. They range from jodhpurs that clip to your boots just below the knee to mid-calf to something called Kentucky Jodhpurs, which are like full-length pants.
