How to Wear a Singlet
The traditional garb for the sport of wrestling is a singlet. A singlet is a one piece outfit that resembles a low-cut tank top attached to a pair of shorts. It is typically made from a spandex or stretch material such as nylon. Some other sports have adopted singlets as their uniform of choice. Singlets are most often worn to create clean lines and aide in the ability of officials to differentiate between two competitors; baggy clothes could make that harder. In wrestling, also, the tightness of the singlet makes it hard to grab hold of your opponent's uniform, which is illegal.

Rub your body dry of any perspiration before putting on your underwear and singlet. Because of the nature of the material your skin will not be able to breathe and dry as well so drying off before wearing a singlet can help with fungus and other sweat-related incidents.
