Easiest Way to Do a Somersault
Watching a seasoned gymnast sprint down the mat and go from an upright position to suddenly flipping downward to do a somersault can be awe-inspiring. While this method is complicated, there are easier ways to complete this basic gymnastics maneuver that are much less intimidating. For example, starting on your knees instead of from a standing position. Once you master the basic somersault, it can be the pathway to learning more complicated gymnastics moves.
