CCS Vs. WERA

The Championship Cup Series (CCS) and the Western Eastern Roadracing Association (WERA) are competing entities, representing two of the most well-known motorcycle racing organizations in the United States. Both offer road racing events on different tracks throughout the country, covering various classes of motorcycles and riders.
  1. CCS

    • CCS was established in 1984 and is based in Fort Worth, Texas. CCS, which is owned by the American SportBike Racing Association (ASRA), offers more than 50 sanctioned road racing competitions per year. Professional riders associated with CCS compete in the ASRA Pro Series.

    WERA

    • WERA was founded in 1973 and is headquartered in Canton, Georgia. Professional riders may compete in the National Endurance or National Challenge Series races.

    Additional Information

    • WERA and CCS offer similar rules and regulations for their road racing events. Amateurs and professionals alike may apply for licenses to race with either organization and attend events throughout the country. While CCS offers more events overall, especially in the Midwest and Great Plains, WERA offers racing classes for Formula 1 and vintage motorcycle riders.
