How to Ski in Levis

Though not optimal, sometimes you get stuck skiing in jeans. This can occur for any number of reasons, such as your snow pants are worn out or lost, or you're waiting to buy a new pair. While jeans are not the best protection you can still wear them and get away with a comfortable day of skiing.

Instructions

    • 1

Apply pure coconut oil or other soothing cream or lotion to the inside of the thighs and around the stomach to protect against chaffing.

    • 2

Wear jeans that are slightly bigger than your normal size, if possible. This allows you to wear more padding underneath the Levis, thus preventing friction and rashes.

    • 3

Dress in long underwear or similar long cloth pants. Wear two to three layers, if possible.

    • 4

Ski in below-freezing temperatures. Though skiing on mild days may seem like a better idea as you are skiing with less protection, the slush from melting snow will leave you wet and cold that much faster.

    • 5

Change your jeans and long underwear once they have become too wet.
