Instructions

    • 1

Place your first ski into a vice with the bottom of the ski facing upwards; check to be sure the vice is securely holding the ski in place but not overly so. If the vice is too tight, it may damage the edges of the ski.

    • 2

Hold the iron approximately 6 to 7 inches above the ski. Place the wax against the hot surface of the heated iron and allow the melted wax to drip onto the base of the ski.

    • 3

Move the wax and iron along the entire length of the ski allowing enough ski wax to drip onto the ski's surface to form a thin coating.

    • 4

Repeat the motion, moving back and forth along the full length of the ski to ensure plenty of melted wax is applied.

    • 5

Run the iron back and forth along the full length of the ski beginning at the blunt end (the back). Make sure the wax smoothly covers the entire surface of the skis' base as you move.

    • 6

Pass the ski scraper along the length of the ski, once again beginning at the blunt end. This will remove any excess wax from the equipment. For best results, apply at an angle of about 45 degrees. Repeat the scraping until all the excess wax has been removed.

    • 7

Buff the length of the ski by sweeping it with a stiff bristled brush. This step removes any excess wax you may have overlooked.

    • 8

Wipe the edges of the ski with the cloth or paper towel to remove any wax spillage. This first ski is finished. Now, repeat the entire process with your second ski.
