How to Wash Ski Gloves

Ski gloves are not likely to become soiled on the outside; however, the inside might hold an unpleasant odor. Perspiration may build up and create a smell that will linger on your hands even after the gloves are removed. Clean gloves will not make you a better skier, but you might be more popular at the lodge.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the liners from the insides of the gloves. Place the liners in a mesh bag. Machine wash the liners in warm water and laundry detergent using the normal wash cycle.

    • 2

Wash the outsides of the gloves by hand using warm water and detergent recommended for delicate fabrics. Rinse the gloves with warm water to remove the detergent.

    • 3

Squeeze the water from the gloves. Hold one glove at a time with the open end facing down. Start at the fingertips and continue to squeeze until you reach the open end of the gloves.

    • 4

Place the glove on a towel to dry or hang with a clothespin on a line. Clip the pin to a finger so the water will not collect in the fingertips.
