How to Machine Wash Snowboard Gloves
Washing snowboard gloves is a process that can be hard to commit to. On the one hand, you don't want to do anything that will affect the waterproofing or on-hill performance. On the other hand, stale, rank gloves can really become nauseating to look at, let alone wear. Snowboard gloves are generally designed to be machine washed, and washing can even help to protect the waterproofing by preventing dirt from affecting it. Wash your snowboard gloves as needed to keep them clean and functional.

1
Separate the gloves. If your gloves use removable liners, pull them out of the shells.
-
2
Wash your gloves with like colors to prevent bleeding and staining of other garments. Consider it a good time to wash some other dirty snowboard clothes with your gloves.
-
3
Set the washing machine to a gentle cycle with warm or cold water.
-
4
Let the machine fill, pour in a powder detergent and let the wash run through its full cycle.
-
5
Remove the gloves, hold them over the sink and squeeze from the fingers to the wrist to remove any excess water. Don't twist, but apply pressure uniformly across the glove.
-
6
Hang dry. Clip the gloves by the fingertips and allow them to hang dry. Avoid machine drying.
