Less than an hour from Toronto and only minutes from Mississauga and Guelph, Glen Eden Ski and Snowboard Center is easy to access from Highway 401. The resort features 12 groomed runs for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels. Skiers are served by five lifts, and two shuttle carpets allow beginners to simply ski on and off the moving belt. Glen Eden offers ski and snowboard lessons and classes for beginners, racers and aerial artists. A tubing run is available for kids of all ages.

Two hours from Toronto, Blue Mountain is Ontario's largest ski resort. Its location on the Niagara Escarpment has created ski runs of up to 720 vertical feet. More than 34 runs, serviced by 13 high-speed lifts, provide variety for visitors of all skill levels. Other features include Telus Park, a free-style playground for snowboarders with everything from beginner rails to super-pipes; a large ski school, and an apres-ski village with restaurants, shops and bars.

Family-friendly Chicopee Ski and Summer Resort near Guelph, Cambridge and Waterloo offers four beginner, five intermediate and five advanced runs; a terrain park for snowboarders, and two shuttle carpets for learning skiers. Ski and snowboard classes are available throughout the season. Other features include an outdoor rock-climbing center.
