1
Dribble a soccer ball moves it down the field. Dribble the ball, as in advancing it with your feet, toward the goal. It's easiest to chip the keeper in a one-on-one situation, with no other defenders in the way.

2
Wait for the keeper to come off the goal line. Chances are he'll run toward you to try to narrow your shooting angle and block more of the goal. If he stays on his line, there's no point in chipping the ball. You'll have a much better chance to score if you simply kick the ball hard at the goal.

3
Slow your running pace, as this forces the keeper to make a decision as well as providing you more balance for an accurate shot. Wait for the keeper to commit himself to tackling (or sliding into) you for the ball. If you shoot before the keeper goes to the ground, she can easily block your chip.

4
Get your foot underneath the ball. Kick the ball with the toe of your shoe, as close to the ground as possible. You will need to be well-balanced and have your body over the ball, under close control. Try to kick right underneath the ball, and don't follow through. Stab your foot under the ball and stop short. Aim to lift the ball up over the diving keeper and down again into the goal. Following through too much could have you shooting over the goal.

5
Stay alert for the rebound in case the keeper manages to block your shot without holding it, as he is now isolated a long way from his goal.
