Soccer players use their feet more than almost any other athlete, making a comfortable pair of cleats a dire necessity. Unfortunately, wide feet can make the search for a perfect fit a bit more challenging.

    Size

    • Although soccer cleats come in many sizes and widths, some athletes require extra wide shoes. Companies such as Kelme understand this dilemma and produce some of the widest cleats on the market.

    Considerations

    • Not every cleat is created equally. Depending on the skill level of the athlete, the type of field being played on (i.e. artificial turf, hard ground, soft ground), and the weather conditions present, the type of cleat required for an athlete to perform at his highest potential will differ.
