Italian Soccer Schools

Italy is one of the world’s most passionate soccer-playing nations. At a professional level, Italy remains a powerful force in world soccer. There are few better countries in which to study the game and develop your skills. A number of soccer schools can be found in Italy, with courses ranging from short summer camps to year-long soccer boarding schools.
  1. Scuola Calcio

    • Scuola Calcio, Italian Premier Soccer School offers six month and one year soccer boarding school programs and shorter soccer camps. The school is aimed at future professional soccer players between the ages of 14 and 22. A full year at the boarding school cost $23,490 in July 2010 according to Soccerkix.com. A 20-day soccer camp cost $3,499 in July 2010. The school is located in Perugia.

    Francesco Totti Academy

    • Francesco Totti is one of Italy’s greatest former soccer players. His academy offers standard and advanced soccer camps and team tour camps. Standard camps focus on developing technical ability while experiencing Italian culture. The advanced camps are more intensive and have been designed, according to the official website, “for experienced players in preparation for high school, soccer academy, clubs or selected for soccer competition.” The academy is based in Rome.

    OSA Soccer Acaedemy

    • The OSA Soccer Academy in Florence gives students a chance to enhance their soccer skills while being immersed in a new culture. As stated by the official website, the OSA Academy “provides players from all over the world a unique opportunity to improve technical, tactical and theoretical soccer skills.” Different programs are offered to meet the needs of individual players.

    Ascoli Soccer Academy

    • The Ascoli Soccer Academy works in conjunction with a number of professional soccer clubs from Italy and other parts of Europe. The academy offers two different forms of learning: year-long soccer courses and summer camps. The year-long course is an intensive learning experience that also gives students the chance to participate in official club try-outs. As stated by the Ascoli Soccer Academy website, the youth summer camps are “designed for boys, girls and kids not only from Italy but from all over the world.”

    Chelsea Soccer School

    • The Chelsea Soccer School is located at the Forte Village Resort in southern Sardinia, approximately 25 miles from Cagliari. The school is run by an English soccer club, Chelsea F.C., and all of the coaches are professionals affiliated with the club. The summer soccer camps are aimed at kids of all ages.

    Juventus Soccer Camps

    • Juventus, one of Italy’s most famous top-flight soccer clubs, has soccer schools in San Marino, Vinovo, Bardonecchia, Roncegno and Procida. The Juventus Summer Soccer Camps are aimed at boys between 8 to 16 years old. There is also a camp for 8 to 16-year-old girls in San Marino.
