Summer Soccer Camps for Girls

Soccer camps give girls a chance to develop their techniques, learn new skills and make new friends. Professional soccer players, university coaches and other trainers teach at these camps, giving soccer players a chance to learn from the best. Girls soccer camps in the U.S typically take place in the summer.

  1. Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy

    • The Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy, open to girls age 12 to 18, runs for six days and five nights. Founded in 2006 by SA women’s soccer team captain Julie Foudy, the camp weaves leadership training with soccer skills. Each day at the camp, girls will focus on a different leadership technique while practicing drills, side games and soccer techniques. Scholarships are available for needy children from the Julie Foudy Leadership Foundation. The camp runs from June to July in Illinois, New Jersey and California. As of 2010, tuition for the camp costs $949 and includes food and lodging.

    Terps Soccer Camp

    • Hosted by the University of Maryland women's soccer team, the Terps Soccer Camp is a residential camp for girls age nine to 17. The camp focuses on individual training, competitive games and goal keeping and was designed for young soccer players hoping to play on the college level. The camp runs from June to July in College Park and Olney, Maryland. As of 2010, tuition for the camp runs from $220 to $525.

    University of North Carolina Girls Soccer Camp

    • The University of North Carolina Girls Soccer Camp is an overnight camp for girls age 12 to 18. During the four day course, girls study serving, defending and passing as well as other techniques. Campers receive direct instruction from some of the University of North Carolina’s top soccer coaches. The camp runs from June to July. As of 2010, the cost of tuition for the camp was $530.
