Fun Softball Cheers

The pace of the game of softball leads itself to cheering, especially from the team that is up at bat. Cheering can help a team that is starting to gain a bit of momentum feel better about itself and potentially create a little doubt in the minds of the team in the field. While cheering should only try to encourage your own team, a rally coupled with cheers from the players on the bench can't help but wear on the team in the field.
  1. Hotter Than Hot

    • Have one player on the bench say the first line and the rest of the team say the second line. Continue in this pattern.

Leader: My name is Samantha and ya know what I got?
      Team: What do you got?
Leader: I've got a team that's hotter than hot.
      Team: How hot is hot?
Leader: Burning the bases and running around.
Team: We're not going to stop until we all go to town.

    Riff-Raff-Reg

    • Riff-raff-reg, kick them in the leg ...
Riff-raff-rass, kick them in the other leg.

    Pitcher, Pitcher

    • Pitcher, pitcher can't you see,
What your fast pitch is doing to me?
I stand at the plate and I'm ready to swing,
And when I hit it, I start to sing.

    We Want a Homer ...

    • Say this through a hitter's entire at-bat:

We want a homer, just a little homer,
We want a homer, just a little homer.
We want a triple, just a little triple
We want a triple, just a little triple.
We want a triple, just a little double
We want a triple, just a little double.
We want a triple, just a little single
We want a triple, just a little single.
