How to Throw a Curveball in Slow Pitch Softball

The way that people smash a softball can frustrate pitchers. This may help you to throw a few strikes and put some frustration on the batters.

Instructions

      Find the spot on the ball where the laces are farthest apart.

      Place your pinkie and index finger where the laces are farthest apart.

      Place your middle and ring finger at the top of the ball where the laces curve around.

      Place your thumb on the underneath side of the ball.

    • 5

      When realeasing the pitch realease your thumb and use your fingers to spin the ball counter-clockwise.(clockwise for left handers).

      The ball will break away from right handed batters if thrown by a right handed pitcher.
