How to Draw a Gun
Instructions

-
1
Put your dominant hand in position by holding it close to the gun on your hip holster. Have your last 3 fingers poised to go around the gun handle, but don't touch the handle just yet.
-
2
Place your other hand just above the hammer of the gun in the holster. The index finger should be positioned to fan the hammer.
-
3
On "Draw," close your fingers around the gun handle, while pulling back the hammer with the other hand.
-
4
Pull the gun from the holster by the handle. The nose of the gun should still be pointing downward as you insert your trigger finger into the trigger.
-
5
Shoot from the hip. Raise the gun into firing position by clearing the nose past the leather and point it at your target. Don't worry about raising the gun any higher than your hip to squeeze off a shot.

Practice makes perfect. Drawing quickly to hit a target is difficult, and requires hours of practice to get it down.
