Ball Rack
-
1
Cut 1-inch PVC pipe into eight 6-inch pieces, four 7-inch pieces, four 12-inch pieces and four 30-inch pieces.
-
2
Cap one end of all eight of the 6-inch pieces with a flat PVC cap. Attach a four-way "LT" fitting to the other end so that the 90-degree ports stick out the sides. Four of the pieces will be feet and the other four will stand as top pillars.
-
3
Connect the four feet together by inserting two 30-inch pipes and two 7-inch pipes into the open ports of the "LT" fittings. You should have a rectangle. Repeat with the top pillars.
-
4
Connect the two rectangles by inserting the four 12-inch pipes in to the remaining open ports of the "LT" fittings. This rack can hold six basketballs, soccer balls or volleyballs.

Cut PVC into six 18 1/2-inch pieces, six 16 1/2-inch pieces, six 8 1/2-inch pieces, six 9 1/2-inch pieces and eight 1 3/4-inch pieces.
-
6
Connect one 18 1/2-inch pipe to a 9 1/2-inch pipe using the straight-through ports of a "T" fitting. Connect the other five 18 1/2-inch pipes to the other five 9 1/2-inch pipes the same way.
-
7
Lay the pipes out in groups of two so that the open port of the "T" is facing up. Connect one set of two by capping both ends of one pipe with 90-degree elbows. Cap the other pipe with the 90-degree port of a "T" joint. Connect the two pipe sections with a 1 3/4-inch pipe between the elbow and "T." Mirror this layout for a second set of two pipes.
-
8
Cap all four open ends of the remaining set of two pipes with the 90-degree port of a "T" fitting. Connect the two pipes with a 1 3/4-inch pipe between the two "T" fittings.
-
9
Connect the three pipe groupings at the top and bottom using four pieces of 16 1/2-inch pipe.
-
10
Insert the six 8 1/2-inch pipes into the open 90-degree "T" ports in the middle of the rack.
-
11
Cap the end 8 1/2-inch pipe with an elbow fitting. Insert a 1 3/4-inch pipe into the elbow. Cap the next pipe with a "T" and connect it to the 1 3/4-inch pipe. Mirror this for the two pipes on the other end of the rack. Cap the center two pipes with "T" fittings and insert a 1 3/4-inch pipe between them.
-
12
Insert the last two 16 1/2-inch pipes into the gap between the "T" fittings and flip the rack over so that these pipes are on the ground.
