Place the flippers on your feet and jump into the water.

    • 2

Lie flat on your stomach (floating) and keep your legs underwater. It is easiest to swim with flippers if your entire body is straight and underwater.

    • 3

Keep your legs straight and your knees relaxed while kicking up and down alternately (right then left, right then left, etc.). This will propel you forward. There is no need to swim with your arms as your legs and flippers will do all the work for you.
