1
Determine where in your yard you want to set up your metal frame pool.
-
2
Next, you need to clear the area of any debris that can cause a tear in the pool lining. Clear away all rocks and branches from that area.
-
3
Determine if the area is level. If the area where you are installing the pool is not level, you will have an uneven water level in the pool. This will cause added pressure on the metal posts holding the pool up and pose a safety hazard. Place a long piece of wood over the area with a level in the center to accomplish this.

To level out the area, you can either fill in the lower portion by using top soil or sand. Rake out the top soil or sand to create a level area. Another option is to dig out the higher area. Either way, you will be changing the look of your yard slightly to accommodate the pool. You can stop the leveling process once you are sure the pool will be resting on level ground.

Place a tarp down before setting up the pool. The tarp will ensure that nothing breaks through the bottom of the pool and tears the liner. It also provides a spot for you to leave towels and shoes before getting into the pool.
