1
Determine which type of clamp your BMX bike has: conventional or quick-release.
-
2
Adjust the height of the conventional seat on the BMX bike by pushing down on the seat or pulling up.
-
3
Push an Allen wrench into the bolt head located on the seat post. The bolt head is a part of the seat clamp. Turning the bolt head clockwise tightens the clamp and turning the head counterclockwise loosens the seat clamp. Adjust the seat by loosening the clamp and pushing the seat down or pulling the seat up.
-
4
Look underneath the seat for a quick-release clamp if your BMX bike does not have a conventional clamp. Grab the seat and pull it toward you. Use your other hand to push down on the quick-release lever attached to the seat post.
-
5
Adjust the seat by pushing the seat down or pulling the seat up with the quick-release lever pushed down on the seat post.
