How to Get the Most Topspin in Tennis Strings
Tennis is a popular sport among children and adults of all ages. It is a strategically and physically complex game requiring athleticism, talent and a mastery of the physical principles at work. A topspin on a tennis ball is an effect where the ball will move toward the opponent, then down, making it difficult to return the shot. While players can achieve a topspin by moving the racket toward the ball in a low-to-high arc, the way a racket is strung also has an impact.

1
Use co-polyester strings, if possible. Studies have shown that these relatively new strings increase the amount of topspin.
-
2
String the racket with a higher tension. This reduces ball speed but gives you more control over the shot.
-
3
Bend your knees slightly in preparation for the shot. Swing the racket in both an upward and counterclockwise motion (visualize moving from seven o'clock to one o'clock on a clock). This will produce topspin.
