The best Head tennis racket string depends on a player's needs. If you are an aggressive player, hit with power and are a frequent string breaker, a durable Head string will be best for you. This string is made with co-polymer polyester, a very durable material. Players who break strings often and are looking for a responsive string that offers control with some touch, may find the Head Sonic Pro to be the best choice for them.

    Hybrid String

    • Head's Intellistring is the top rated hybrid string, receiving a 7.07 out of 10 on the USRSA survey. A hybrid has one type of string for the long strings (mains) and another type for the cross strings. The Intellistring is using two different gauge strings--the mains are 16-gauge while the crosses are a thinner, 17-gauge. The main strings are made with a special textured surface which helps bite the ball, giving a player more spin potential.
