1
Use a stringing machine. There are basically three types to choose from: drop weight, manual crank and lockout, or electronic, machines. The table top models are light weight and very portable, while the electronic machines are heavier and require a nearby electrical outlet. Make sure you are familiar with the functions, attachments and settings.

2
Examine the tennis racquet. If is already has strings, study the stringing pattern. Write down how many main or long strings it has. Also note which grommet holes in the racquet's frame the string threads through. Do the same for the cross strings. Make a note of where the string knots are tied. Once you've written down the pattern, cut the strings out of the racquet with clippers.

3
Look up the racquet manufacturer's website using a computer. This only needs to be done if your racquet does not already have strings. Most major manufacturers list information for current racquet models, including the stringing pattern. Many major online tennis merchants also list stringing patterns.

4
Place the racquet frame within the clamps of the stringing machine and lock it into place. Be sure it is secure, because if it is not properly mounted, the frame can break during stringing.
-
5
Set the machine to the proper string tension. Many times this is imprinted on the throat of the racquet. If not, this will also be listed with the online stringing pattern information.

6
Open the package of Prince Hybrid Spin string. Notice that there are two small coils. One coil is a stiff polyester string and the other is a more flexible, softer string. Typically, the polyester is used for the long main strings and the more flexible coil is used for the cross strings. However, this is a personal choice.
-
7
Thread the main strings through the proper grommet holes according to the pattern. Use the machine to pull and clamp each string. Refer to your notes and finish the main strings with a secure knot at the proper locations. Clip off the excess string.
-
8
Thread the cross strings according to the stringing pattern. Refer to your notes and tie the starting knot in the correct location. Weave the string over and under the installed main strings. Be sure each row is woven in the opposite direction of the previous row. Use the machine to pull and clamp each cross string. Finish by tying a secure knot in the correct location. Clip off the excess string and release the racquet from the machine's clamps.
