Instructions

1
Cut a piece of PVC pipe to the width that you want your hurdle to be using a power saw. This will be the horizontal bar that you jump over.
-
2
Make the vertical posts of the hurdle by cutting two pieces to the height at which you want to hurdle to stand.
-
3
Connect the width and height pieces together using PVC elbow connectors to make an upside down U shape. You can PVC cement them together if you want to make the connections permanent.
-
4
Cut four pieces of pipe to half the height of the hurdle legs to make the feet. If your hurdle stands at 2 feet high, make each piece 1 foot long.
-
5
Put a PVC T fitting onto the bottom of each of the hurdle legs in the single opening side. The horizontal length of the fittings should be parallel to each other.
-
6
Slip one of the feet pipes into each of the T fitting openings to make the hurdle stable and sturdy. You can place pipe caps at the ends of the feet to make them smooth and closed.
-
7
Cut more sets of pipes to create a full set of hurdles, or make slight adjustments to the height of the successive hurdles to make an increasing set.
