Find the Regional Volleyball Association active in your part of the country. Visit the USA Volleyball website and click on the "Juniors" link. Find the "Wanna Play?" link and follow it to find the Regional Volleyball Association serving your area.

Contact the regional commissioner of the Regional Volleyball Association closest to your home. Ask for information concerning USA Volleyball and for a list of USA Junior Volleyball teams in your region. Ask about starting your own volleyball club if an existing club does not exist.

Call several of the USA Junior Volleyball clubs in your area. Ask for information about their tryouts. Athletes compete for positions on USA Volleyball teams. Ask about fees, uniforms and travel requirements when requesting information.

Sign up to try for several different club teams. Be prepared to pay a fee and spend the day at each tryout. Notify club officials you are interested in playing for the club's National or traveling team if you want to compete on a National level. Expect competitive, advanced level volleyball at tryouts. Be prepared to tryout for specific volleyball positions starting at age 12.

Wait to hear if you make the team. Expect a written offer from each club interested in having you play on their volleyball team. Accept the offer from the team that best suits your needs.

Play the best individual and team volleyball possible. Perform well at tournaments. Prepare for volleyball to be a dominant part your and your family's life. Succeed at regional and state tournaments and hope for a bid for your team to compete at the annual USA Junior Olympic Volleyball Championship games.
