    Owner Maintenance

If it wasn't maintained, then you will pay for it by having to replace parts that wouldn't have broken if it had been maintained. Proper maintenance includes having the watercraft tuned up and checking the fluids. Don't just take an owner's word for it that he maintained his WaveRunner. See if he has records, such as receipts, showing that he kept up with the maintenance on it.

You can do this by performing a simple online search of the model and year of the WaveRunner you are interested in and seeing what parts are available. You can also call a mechanic who specializes in WaveRunners to see if certain models have parts that are easier to get than others. If you cannot find parts for a certain WaveRunner very easily, when something needs to be replaced, you will have to search for the part and then wait for an extended period of time before you can fix it.
