Specifications of the 1993 Mercury Outboard

The 1993 Mercury outboard motors were manufactured by the Mercury Marine company. Mercury Marine has existed since 1939 and is a division of the Brunswick Corporation. 1. Engine Specifications

    • The 1993 Mercury 2.5 L offshore was fitted with a six-cylinder, two-stroke outboard engine. The Mercury 9.9 was a two-cylinder, two-stroke outboard engine. The Mercury 115 was a four-cylinder, two-stroke outboard engine. The Mercury 15 XR6 2.5L was a six-cylinder, two-stroke outboard engine.

    Performance

    • The Mercury 2.5L outboard motor had 200 horsepower, while the Mercury 9.9 offered 9.9 horsepower output. The Mercury 115 outboard motor had 115 horsepower. The 150 XR6 2.5L had 150 horsepower.

    Spline Count

    • The amount of teeth on the drive shaft and the propeller hub is referred to as the spline count. The teeth prevent the propeller from slipping away from the drive shaft. The spline count for the 2.5L offshore outboard motor, the Mercury 115 and the 150 XR6 2.5L is 15. The Mercury 9.9 outboard motor offers a spline count of eight.
