Getting Out of the Chicken Wing Wrestling Move
The chicken wing, or arm bar, is a wrestling hold that's best not to get into. A wrestler typically uses this move to pin his opponent's arm in anticipation of another move or simply to subdue him. If you find yourself pinned, you'll need to employ specific techniques to free yourself.

1
Bring your body off the floor by arching your back and lifting your hips. This leaves you in a less vulnerable position, as freeing your arm from a chicken wing hold is extremely difficult if you're laying flat on the mat or floor.
-
2
Scoot away from your opponent using your free arm. This is commonly called "shrimping" in wrestling, and it creates necessary space between you and your opponent.
-
3
Straighten your pinned arm out, forcefully, while keeping your hips off the floor. Once you've straightened your pinned arm, quickly roll out from under your opponent.
