How to Do a Back Tuck Basket Toss
Instructions
-
Bases
-
1
Stand facing one another, crouch down slightly and interlock your wrists and fists to create a square for the flier to step on. Your hands should be holding the other base's wrists.
-
2
Wait for the flier to place her hands on your shoulders and her foot on your fists. Bounce your arms slightly to build momentum and count one, two, three.
-
3
Throw the flier up into the air on the count of three, then break apart your fists.
-
4
Place your hands in a cradle position beneath the flier and catch her as she comes down out of the toss.
Back Spotter
-
5
Place your hands on the flier's waist or buttocks.
-
6
Allow the flier to bounce up and down, then release her waist on the count of three.
-
7
Raise your arms, make fists and catch the flier underneath her armpits as she comes down. Move with the flier in case the bases are unable to fully break her fall.
Front Spotter
-
8
Place your hands underneath the interlocked hands of the bases.
-
9
Lift up and down on the one, two, three count, and help throw the flier in the air.
-
10
Step backward, keep your arms up and watch the flier perform the stunt.
-
11
Keep out of range of the flier's feet. Step to the side and assist in the catch if one of the bases or the flier has a problem.

12
Place your hands on the shoulders of each base and allow your back spotter to place her hands on your waist or buttocks.
-
13
Place your dominant foot on the interlocked fists of the bases and front spotter. Hop up and down with the movement of the bases until the count of three.
-
14
Jump up and allow yourself to be thrown in the air. Perform a back tuck, then kick your legs out in front of you so that you are in a seated position in the air.
-
15
Make fists and stretch your arms out to the sides to form a "T" while you are falling.
-
16
Allow the bases to catch you beneath your legs and the back spotter to catch you under your arms, then bounce back into a standing position on the floor.
