Cheer & Dance Camps in Arizona

Children and teens interested in dance and cheerleading can often join their school's team. When school is not in session during the summer, dance and cheer camps offer a venue for students to hone their skills. Residents of Arizona can participate in summer dance and cheer camps as an individual, or with a group of friends.

  1. Arizona Sunrays

    • Arizona Sunrays in Phoenix offers dance, cheer and gymnastics instruction to children from 18 months to 18 years in age. The organization also offers summer camp programs, including a week-long camp that gives dance, tumbling and singing instruction. A winter camp program affords two days of dance, gymnastics and karate. During the month of March, Arizona Sunrays offers half-day and full-day camps for students on spring break.

    Tucson Cheer Academy

    • Tucson Cheer Academy has summer camps for boys and girls between the ages of 5-18. All camps last for four days and are taught by nationally accredited staff. Children under the age of 9 are separated from older campers and camp sessions last four hours. Campers between the ages of 9-18 can choose between a beginner to advanced cheer camp or a skills camp; sessions for older campers last eight hours. Private camps can be arranged for groups and teams.

    Tempe Dance Academy

    • Tempe Dance Academy just outside of Phoenix offers dance classes from Monday through Saturday. The organization also has dance camps each summer for beginning and intermediate dancers; as of 2010, the school had two camps, each four days in length. Topics covered at the camps includes jazz, ballet and tap dance. Students can elect to attend all week or attend only part of the camp and pay per day.
