1
Recruit local companies to sponsor your squad. Inform them that they will get free advertising as their company logo and information will be proudly displayed on team banners, signs and practice shirts. Look into the rules of tax-deductible sponsorships, and have this information on hand, as many companies will be more likely to give you sponsorship if it is tax-deductible. Confirm that this type of advertising is permitted by your school and your competitive league before soliciting funds.

2
Ask friends and family members for donations because, although it may seem a bit daunting, it is an ideal way to raise money for your squad as most of your family and friends will be happy to support your efforts. Acknowledge each in person who donates, no matter how small the amount. Send out thank-you cards or express your gratitude by giving special recognition when appropriate during games or at award ceremonies.

Invest in candy with a fundraising company, which in turn will bring your squad a profit when the goods are sold. Ask your coach or school administration to look into getting your squad set up to sell fundraising candy. Try to sell individual candies, such as candy bars or lollipops. Since individual candy doesn't cost much, people are more apt to buy them instead of an expensive calendar or candle.

Hold a car wash, which is a tried and true method that been around for decades helping teams all over the world raise money. Pick a date and time when the weather is warm and people are out and about, preferably on the weekend. Ask permission to hold your car wash at your school parking lot where there is ample space. Make colorful posters and let members of the squad smile and dance while waving the posters. Tell family, friends and classmates about the car wash beforehand and place signs in areas where you are allowed to advertise your car wash.
