Analyze your team's surrounding location and playing environment. Historically, team logos have encompassed numerous resources. Municipal location, geographic location, cultural history, local animal populations, regional weather and climate tendencies are all examples of resources you can use to customize your team identity and accompanying logo. Think of these factors during your initial conception phase.

Draft your logo. Use a pencil and paper to draw a list or even some sketches about what your team name and locality means and how it could be visually represented. Be creative. Being able to draw on a large pool of ideas will contribute greatly to your logo's originality.

Choose a base color and secondary colors for your logo. Color is an important part of a logo as other facets of your team identification will be based on it. Take some time to consider which color would best represent your team.

Choose a primary logo design from your list of sketches and ideas. Draw it out using colored pencils based on you're the color scheme you've chosen in Step 3. The best logos are simple in design, identifiably legible from short distances and easily reproduced.

Reproduce your logo. If you'd like you can scan your logo into a graphics software program to finalize and refine it.
