How to Be the Best Mascot
Instructions

1
Practice the common mascot gestures. The most popular ones are waving, acting surprised, acting afraid, blowing a kiss, and laughing. These gestures will be part of your performance so the greater the variety you can pull off, the better.

2
Tim the dancing tiger connects with his audience. Develop persona for your character. Come up with a name and personality trait that will help others identify you easily. For example, instead of just being "the Bulldog", ask to be called "Bubba the shy bulldog." Having this distinct personality will help you connect with your audience.

3
Keep your cover at all times. The best mascots are quite convincing and they're never seen in human form. Ask for an escort if needed. Also, use gestures, rather than words, to communicate and take a full thirty minute break in a place where no one will see the mascot out of costume.

4
Coordinate a grand entrance to your event. The anticipation will heighten your performance and make everyone excited to see you.
