Colts Face Paint Ideas

Colts fans want to show their team spirit, especially when attending a game. By painting your face you can display the Colts' colors and symbols with pride. All you need is the right face painting supplies and a mirror. Choose from a few basic Colts-themed face painting designs, and paint your face to support your team.
  1. Football Theme

    • Paint football items on your face on top of the Colt's colors. Load a face painting sponge with white water-based face paint and paint one half of the face, and then using a sponge, paint blue on the other half. On top of the base coat, use a soft-bristled, small round detail brush to paint footballs, end zone posts and a football helmets. Look in a mirror as you paint your face so that you can see what you are doing.

    Western Theme

    • Paint western-themed objects in white and blue, the colors of the Colts. Cowboy hats, saddles, whips and the Colt's horseshoe logo painted in white and blue will honor the Colt's football team and their western themes. These designs require more time, technique and talent to produce, but look very impressive. You will need to use a small round soft-bristled brush to paint the detail required for these western-themed objects.

    Words of Encouragement

    • Demonstrate your Colt team spirit by writing "GO, COLTS, GO" in white and blue paint across your face. This is easy to paint and certainly gets your supportive intentions across. You may also consider painting the names of your favorite team members on your face. If you are attending a game with a group, paint messages by writing a couple of words on each person's face until you form your sentence. Just make sure you sit in an order so that your message makes sense.

    Mascot

    • To paint your face like the Colt's team mascot, named Blue, load a face painting sponge with white paint. Paint a line down the middle of your face, starting at the hairline, sliding down the nose and ending at the tip of the nose. Also paint white around the eyes. Paint the rest of the face in light blue using a face painting sponge. With a medium round soft-bristled brush, clean up the edge of the white stripe down the middle of the face so that the lines are crisp and so that it comes to a point at the tip of the nose. Use a soft bristled fan brush loaded with dark blue to place on the hairline, and then pull it inward an inch toward the nose and flick it upward as you end the stroke. Do this same stroke all around the edge of the face starting at the hairline, jawline and chin and going inward toward the nose. With a small round soft-bristled detail brush, paint yellow nostrils, comma shapes, just below your nose. Using the same brush, loaded with black, extend a smile from the corners of your mouth and paint over your eyebrows. Wear a cowboy hat to finish off your outfit.
