How to Paint My Face As an NFL Cardinal

Die-hard Arizona Cardinals fans get ready for a game day by painting their faces with the colors of the team and with a beak. The standard Cardinals game face features a red outline around the face, with a black mask around the eyes and a bright gold beak painted around the mouth and nose. Face paint can be purchased at party supply stores and through online fan shops.

      Use your fingers or a face paintbrush to outline the eyes in a large oval shape with white paint. The paint should extend to just under the eyebrows and to the same depth below the eyes.

      Use the black paint to create a mask around the eyes. Starting at the top of the nose, paint a thick border around the white paint. Use the black paint to cover the area under the eyes and into the cheek area. Paint a thin, black outline down from the eyes and around the chin. The area between the black lines should be in the shape of a diamond around the mouth and nose.

      Fill in the diamond-shaped area around the mouth and nose with yellow paint to create a beak.

      Use the red paint to fill in the rest of the face. Hold hair out of the way, and get a nice red outline around all the other face paint to ensure a true Cardinals look.
