NFL Fan Face Paint Ideas
-
Covering the Entire Face
-
To show team spirit, cover your entire face with the team colors. Whether it’s the yellow and green of the Green Bay Packers, the black and gold of the New Orleans Saints or the blue and white of the Indianapolis Colts, paint vertical stripes in alternating colors or simply paint your face half one color and half another. Get a bit more creative and use one color as the base and the other to create the team logo. If you’re a Saints fan, paint your face a metallic gold and then paint a black fleur-de-lis in the center of your face. Include your eyelids and lips when painting an area of color.
Painting Small Logos
-
If you’d rather not slather paint all over your face, paint a small team logo on each cheek. Paint the team’s name under your eyes to mimic the eyeblack players wear to reduce the sun’s glare. To support the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, paint a small skull and crossbones image. Paint “Steelers” or “Jets” or “Browns” in team colors if you’re a fan of those teams. Use a saying associated with your team, such as “Who Dat” if you’re a New Orleans Saints fan or “Da Bears” if you’re a Chicago fan.
Face and Body Paint
-
Some fans opt to go whole hog and paint their faces as a continuation of an upper body paint job. Painting your face, chest and arms to resemble an animal mascot shows support for teams like the Cincinnati Bengals or the Jacksonville Jaguars. Fans can paint on a costume, showing support for a character mascot such as the Minnesota Vikings, the Dallas Cowboys or the New England Patriots. Accompany these paintings with appropriate hats and props to complete the look. Simply extending the team colors, painted in blocks or stripes, onto the chest and arms extends the face paint into a whole body look.
Covering Part of the Face
-
You don’t need to paint your whole face to show team spirit. If your head is clean-shaven, paint it to resemble the team’s helmet. Outline the helmet shape and paint it to match the team's look, even painting a face guard onto your face. Enlarge a team logo, such as a star for the Dallas Cowboys, and paint it so that it covers the middle of your face or encircles one eye. If you’re a San Diego Chargers fan, paint a lightning bolt across the front of your face.
