How to Make Football Pool Score Sheets

Football parties are festive occasions. In addition to watching the game on TV, grilling food and partaking in drinks, you can add another element of fun for your guests by creating a football pool. This involves placing the numbers zero through 9 into a 10-by-10 grid on a large score sheet. Guests at the party choose their spots on the grid. As the game is played, the individuals whose numbers match the digits of the teams' scores after each quarter win prizes.

Instructions

    • 1

Draw a 10-by-10 grid on the poster board.

    • 2

Write the name of the home team across the top of the board, above the grid.

    • 3

Write the name of the away team down the side of the poster, next to the grid.

    • 4

Fill in the grid with the names of the party visitors participating in the pool. You can have players write their names in themselves or assign each a random space.

    • 5

Write the numbers 1 through 10 on 10 slips of paper or ping pong balls. Put them all into a hat.

    • 6

Pull out the balls or papers one at a time, and write the first number over the first column, the second number over the second column and so on.

    • 7

Put the balls or papers back in the hat and repeat, labeling down the side of the poster, with a number for each column.

    • 8

Find the square in the row corresponding to the last digit of the away team's score, and the column corresponding to the last digit of the home team's score at the end of each quarter. The name in the square wins.
