School Spirit Face Painting Ideas
-
School Colors
-
Using school colors can be one of the easiest ways to show for which team you’re rooting. Your school colors represent your school and team much like a flag represents a country. Your teachers encourage you to wear your school colors to sporting games and school spirit day, so why not go the extra mile and wear those colors on your face? Schools usually have one or two official colors – you can use these to paint your entire face, or wear them in streaks on either cheek like war paint. The one downside is that this might not help much if your team goes up against a school flying similar colors.
Team Mascot
-
Your mascot stands as your team’s figurehead, more often than not bearing its name. If your team mascot is particularly iconic, you can’t go wrong with this painted on your face. Many school sports teams use animals as their mascots – eagles, lions, bears, bulls, wolves – and these are perfect for face paint. You can have the mascot painted on your cheek, or make yourself over completely like it (even with ears and horns, if you want).
School Logo/Seal
-
The school logo is another popular choice for face paint. At some events, cheerleaders hand out temporary tattoos of the school logo so everyone can wear it proudly. Again, you can be as subtle or as bold as you want. Unfortunately, many school logos are especially intricate, so you may have a bit of difficulty applying the paint.
School Initials
-
Painting your school initials on your cheeks are an easier alternative – drawing can get very tricky, but writing is pretty much straightforward. It’s a simple but clear way to show school spirit. School initials aren’t the only things you can paint on your face. You can simply paint “#1” using your school colors, and leave it at that. If your team has had an excellent season, why not advertise that winning streak? Whatever you choose to write on your face, make sure it’s big, bold and easy to read.
