Football Trophy Ideas
-
Start Big
-
Design the biggest trophy first, as this is the most important. This can be for the team's MVP, a league championship or another top honor. One thing to decide early on is how this trophy will be given out. A trophy that will be given to a player or team to be taken home may differ from one in which a coach or league keeps the trophy but the name of the winner is added each season. With the latter, a duplicate may be made for the winner to keep at home.
Designing a Trophy
-
Most trophy shops have templates offering ideas on trophies. If this is to be a league or team trophy that will be displayed publicly, think about using leaf clusters surrounding a large football. If it is for individual achievement, consider a football figure on the award such as person throwing for a top quarterback, a runner for running back or a figure tackling for a defensive player. Also, remember to include the year on the trophy.
What Materials To Use
-
Cost can be a major concern when deciding on what material to use for the trophy. Crystal may look best, but it can be expensive for dozens of trophies. One solution might be using plastic that resembles brass for trophies being awarded on a large scale, such as those given out for participation in a sport.
Common Football Trophy Designs
-
Some of the more common football trophy designs are helmets; various views of the football; a ball on a pedestal; players in various action poses, including tackling, kicking and throwing; a football surrounded by leaves; a football and jersey; a foot kicking a ball; goalposts; or a football field. While all pertain to football, matching them to the player or team is always a good idea.
