How to Appeal a Call in Little League Baseball

Little league baseball is an all-American ubiquitous activity in which umpires and coaches interact, often at a very high levels of intensity, pitting players and coaches against umpires. It is essential that you have a comprehensive understanding of the rules regarding appeal. Failure to follow the proper procedures of appeal or failure to execute the appeal within the required time frame may significantly impact the outcome of the game.



While judgment calls can not be appealed, a violation of the rules or a misapplication of the rules, can be appealed and often result in a reversal of original call.

      Wait until time-out is called before you address the official. Do not run onto the field in the middle of a live ball situation, as this may result in a penalty being assessed against your team.
