Cool Coach Gifts
-
Activity or Event
-
Identify an activity your coach is interested in. For example, if he or she is the coach of your basketball team, get tickets to your local or nearest professional basketball team's next game. Include a certificate for food at the game if possible.
Clothing
-
If he or she is the coach of your soccer or football team, find out what team they support and get them the newest jersey or shirt for that team. If you suspect they already have that jersey, choose a hat or other accessory for this team. There is often the option to customize accessories such as embroidering their initials on the item. This personal touch will show your coach you put some thought into their gift.
Equipment
-
A new piece of equipment based on the particular sport they coach or another sporting pastime they are involved in would also be a useful gift. For example, if the person is a coach of a ski team, or has a particular interest in skiing, you could get them a new piece of skiing equipment such as new goggles, poles or a new backpack.
Personal
-
If you want to give a more personal gift, get a team photo framed and have all the members of the team autograph it. Choose a photo of the team winning a cup or celebrating a famous victory over the local rivals if you have it. Alternatively, get a plaque made of your team's statistics for the season so your coach will always have that memory.
Generic
-
If you don't know the coach very well and therefore feel a personal gift is inappropriate, it is better to choose a more generic gift such as a gift certificate to a local restaurant, bookstore or a spa.
