1
Put on your snowboard boots and pants and attach a Velcro watch strap around your ankle to ensure it fits. With the watch strap in place, feed the end of a 3- to 5-mm nylon cord between the strap and your ankle. Loop it around two or three times, then secure it with a tight knot. You will not need to undo this again, so feel free to tie it very tightly.

2
Create a loop at the opposite end of the nylon cord, about two to three inches in diameter. It should be big enough to slide the watch strap through in its entirety. You may find it easier to loop the cord around three fingers, then secure it with a knot at the bottom. When you're satisfied that both ends of the cord are secure, squeeze a blob of Superglue onto each of the knots, taking care not to get it on your fingers. This will prevent the knots from slipping or coming undone.

Feed the looped end of the cord around a solid, enclosed piece of your bindings. You'll likely find one of these at the sides of your foot, close to the board. Use a closed piece of the binding, one without any moving parts. The leash should not be able to slide off the end of the piece to which it is secured. With the loop poking out from under the binding. Feed the watch-strap end through the loop and pull the cord all the way through until you've formed a tight noose around the binding piece.
