How to Assemble a Snowboard

Snowboarding combines the sidelong stance of surfing and skateboarding with the downhill cruising capabilities of snow skis. It has become a staple of extreme sport enthusiasts who want another way to test their limits. Because of the high speeds and acrobatic tricks involved with snowboarding, it is important to assemble your snowboard correctly to provide the best safety as well as maneuverability.

Instructions

Set the bindings on your snowboard. These are the foot holds where you will strap in your feet. Put your feet into the bindings and stand on the board as though you were actually snowboarding. This will determine if your snowboarding stance is "goofy" (standing with your right side forward) or "regular" (standing with your left side forward).

    • 2

Attach the bindings to your snowboard. Each binding will use four screws. Thread these screws through the four slots on the top of the binding and then down into your snowboard. Screw in the screws without tightening them completely.

    • 3

Place your feet in the bindings again. Move the bindings back and forth until your toes and heels are centered along the width of the board. Adjust the alignment of your bindings by moving the angle of each foot until your stance is most comfortable.

Remove your feet and tighten the screws completely.
