How To Install Burton Snowboard Bindings
-
1
Determine which foot will be your front foot. If you do not already know, there is a simple way to check. Lean forward until you are off balance and begin to fall. Whichever foot you catch yourself with should be your lead foot. You will be installing your lead-foot binding first.
-
2
Determine your stance width. Most snowboarders mount their bindings using the center mount, which is a predetermined area on the snowboard that is the center of each binding area. Most snowboards will have clear markings showing where the center mount is. If not, you can determine this by finding the middle screw hole on each side of the board.
-
3
Line up the 15-degree angle on your base plate with the mark on the inside of your binding. Once you have these lined up, put the binding over the center mount area, which will be four screws. You should be able to see the holes on the snowboard through the holes on your bindings.
-
4
Insert the back right screw with your screwdriver. Do not tighten the screw completely because you could damage your snowboard.
-
5
Insert the front left screw, but do not tighten it all the way
-
6
Insert the remaining two screws, but do not tighten them completely.
-
7
Tighten each screw individually, beginning with the first screw you inserted, working diagonally to prevent damage to your snowboard.
-
8
Repeat these steps with your rear-foot binding.
