How to Install K2 Snowboard Bindings

K2 has released a number of different models of snowboard bindings, with different methods of fastening over the boots. However, all K2 bindings fit into the snowboard using the same method. Before attempting to install the bindings, you must determine whether you are a left-foot-first or "regular" snowboarder, or right-foot-first or "goofy" snowboarder. This will affect the positioning of the bindings on the snowboard.

Instructions

    • 1

Find the binding reference point on the board and place the holes in the bottom of the bindings directly over the small holes on the snowboard, ensuring that the bindings do not hang over the sides of the board. If they do, a wider snowboard is needed.

Move the center disc of each binding until the desired stance is found. Usually the the leading foot is positioned at a slight angle in the direction of the nose of the board, while the back foot is slightly pointing outwards but at a less dramatic angle. Positioning is a matter of personal preference and comfort, and some boarders prefer the bindings to be positioned at equal angles. Positioning can always be changed later.

Screw the bindings to the board as tightly as possible using a screwdriver. Suitable screws generally come with the bindings.
